A REAL MENU

March 29, 2010 Monday

"Real friendship is shown in times of trouble; prosperity is full of friends" Euripides

Euripides was the last of the three great tragedians of classical Athens. The other two were Aeschylus and Sophocles. Possibly nineteen of his plays have survived.
A cold rainy day is the best time to plan your new dietary lifestyle...copy, paste and start.

A Complete Menu: Yeast Free Diet

BREAKFAST: One egg, piece of animal protein with vegetables or if it is easier, make a veggie omelet

2 1/2 hrs Later: High Protein, Low Carbohydrate Powdered drink (I suggest Metagenics Ultra InflamX or KPax) in almond milk

LUNCH: Chicken or fish with vegetables, a green salad (lemon and oil dressing)

2 1/2 hrs later: Nut mix (one handful); rice cake with almond butter or apple with handful of nuts (no peanuts)

Dinner: Protein with a salad (if didn't have one for lunch, can use flax seed oil with lemon this time), a vegetable, possibly a sweet potato

2 1/2 hrs. later: 1 cup of any type of berry; or apple or pear with nut mix

You must drink 6 - 8 glasses of spring or filtered water. Eating smaller meals is a better way to lose weight, especially for those individuals with low blood sugar. Tomorrow I will give you 6 different breakfasts, 6 lunch choices and 6 dinner choices. The choices depend on your specific food allergies. Yet most individuals have wheat and dairy allergies. This is essentially a yeast allergy.

The needlepoint was given to my brother-in-law, Michael Byrd. I made a pair for his kitchen. He lives in Los Angeles, CA where they proudly hang. You can try peas or any other green vegetable with lunch or dinner.

Until tomorrow....
